Tristan is seven months old today! He is getting to be such a big boy. He is not crawling yet, but he sure can scoot. He is pretty quick when he sees something he wants. He pulls up on the coffee table and is starting to walk holding on to it. Sometimes he gets brave and lets go completely, which is what happened the other day. He bumped his head and then landed on the floor. At first I couldn't see where he hit the table, then I saw the trickle of blood coming from his eyelid. It started swelling and turning purple and I couldn't tell how deep the cut was. I took him to get it checked out just in case it needed stitches. The doctor came out to the waiting room to look at it and said he would be just fine. Of course Tristan had stopped crying before we even left the house and was smiling and talking to the people in the doctor's office, but I still haven't quite gotten over it. He still has a little bit of a black eye but it is healing quickly.
On to better news....Tristan has his first tooth! It is one of the bottom ones. I have to be careful now when I let him chew on my finger! He is talking all the time, but lately there has been more "bababa" than "dadada." Still no "mamama" though :-( Who knows, maybe he will say it for me tomorrow haha! Tristan seems to love siting in his highchair to eat. He has liked all the different kinds of baby foods except for peas, he spit those out at me and started crying. I couldn't blame him though, they were pretty gross. He is getting a lot better with his sippy cup, and is a pro at eating his little snacks. And I am very excited that he is sleeping through the night now-even when I am home!
