Whew, its hot outside!!! And of course, that's Tristan's favorite place to be! So we have been spending a lot of time at the fountain, his little blow up pool, and the big pool. He has no fear at all when it comes to the pool. He will run and jump in whether you are there to catch him or not! Luckily I was paying close attention, but it definitely scares me! His head did go under a few times, but when he came up, he just looked a little shocked, wanted his face wiped, and then was ready to get back in. He will stick his face in the water to blow bubbles and he will lay on his tummy in the bath tub and practice kicking his feet. He is not a fan of floating on his back though! Tristan loves going to the fountain, too. He likes to run in a big circle through all the fountains, but usually only gets half way before he realizes I am not with him. He will stick his head in the water and always tries (unsuccessfully) to get me to do the same. Unfortunately, his most favorite thing to do at the fountain is to run up the ramp and down the stairs of the covered area. He also like playing in the bushes. We went to Justin's family's house on Fish River for Memorial Day, and Tristan got to go for his first swim in the river. He did pretty good considering that the water was a little chilly and he couldn't touch!
Tristan is still talking ninety to nothing, and it seems he learns something new or does a new funny trick everyday. The other night he was saying something and I could not understand him so he kept repeating it, then he got a little bit of an attitude and did the sign language for the word. His expression was priceless! He loves reading books and is really good at doing his animal puzzles. He likes to get change out of our closets and put it in his "piggies." He has two piggy banks-one is Alabama and one is Auburn. The Alabama one has quite a bit more money in it, but that's OK because he won't need money for Auburn when he gets that scholarship!!! ;-) He can say "War Eagle" and "Roll Tide" but he has no idea what thy mean. I guess I'll have to work on that......
My sister, Jennifer, was in town a few weekends ago for her baby shower. I'm so happy because for once in our lives she is bigger than me!!! It was so cute when we would ask Tristan where Zooey was. He would point to her belly, but with confusion written all over his face! We are going back to Columbus this weekend to stay with Jennifer for a few days. I am so hoping that the drive will go much smoother than last time! It should though, because we will be on the road during his nap time and I won't be the one driving. Hopefully I will get some sleep on the way too since I have to work the night before. We are coming back Saturday afternoon to be home in time to celebrate Father's Day on Sunday. The next time we go to Columbus will be to meet little Zooey in person. I can't wait!!!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Father's Day!!!
at least it was one piece at a time and not the whole roll...
