Tristan is 19 months!

We have been having so much fun this past month! We have been spending lots of time outside enjoying the beautiful weather. We go to the park at least once or twice a week, and we go to the little playground across the street usually everyday. I took Tristan to play in the fountain at the Eastern Shore Center. The first time, it didn't take him long to get soaked and he had a blast. The second time, he was a little slower getting warmed up to it, and then it didn't help that he got plowed over by a bigger kid. After that, he just wanted to sit on the bench, but he wanted me to get up and get in the water. So, we left and went to the park instead, and then he had fun. It was my fault though, for taking him on a way too crowded Sunday afternoon. You would have thought I learned my lesson about Sundays the last time we went to Kangarooz! The next time that Justin and I took him to the fountain, it was much less crowded and he was a little slow getting in (I think he was having flash backs, lol), but eventually started having a good time. We also went to Brantley Farms with a few of the girls I work with and their kids. Tristan didn't know what to think at first about the animals. He got to hold a baby bunny and a little baby chick, and he got to pet a miniature horse, llama, and donkey. We fed a cow and some goats, and got to see my favorite-PIGS! Tristan wasn't too keen on riding the horse though. Went on a train ride and a hay ride, but I think his favorite thing was riding on the tire swing that looked like a horse! The swimming pool across the street hasn't opened up yet, but Tristan has played in his inflatable pool a few times and loved it!

Tristan is still talking up a storm. He can say a ton of words and is stringing them together to make short sentences. And he will repeat everything. Lately, he has been pointing his finger and saying "No, no" to the other kids at school. He knows A, B, and C, and loves for you to sing the whole alphabet to him, over and over.... Tristan can close the doors by either pushing or pulling them shut. And for some odd reason, he likes to hide in our closets, but he gets stuck because he can't quite turn the knob enough to open the door. He got his first scraped knee this afternoon when he fell on the driveway. He was more upset about the band aid that I put on it than the scrape itself. He has gotten good at drinking out of a straw, but still doesn't quite understand that you are not supposed to tip the cup up. As far as eating goes, its kind of hit or miss. Some days he eats great, and some days not so much. He would be perfectly happy to live off of yogurt, hot dogs, and fruit.

We took Tristan to get another haircut. He didn't wiggle around as much this time, but he sure let everybody in the place know how unhappy he was. He wouldn't wear a gown and was covered in hair by the time it was over. I stripped him down to his diaper before I would put him in my car. I had to trim the hair around his ears a few days later, because I noticed that if you untucked it from behind his ear, it was much longer than the rest of his hair. Hopefully next time it will go a little smoother!

I had a great Mother's Day. I got to sleep in, and Justin and Tristan fixed me breakfast. We had a relaxing day, and then for dinner, I cooked a casserole and we ate at my Mom's with my Grandmother, brother, aunt, and cousin. Justin even went to Publix for me (coupons and all) so I wouldn't have to go. I hope everyone else had a great Mother's Day as well!
