I'm actually posting this update on time, so its probably going to end up being quite a bit shorter than the last one! We had a great Thanksgiving dinner with Justin's family. Tristan was a little tired by the end and was not the most cooperative when it came to pictures, but we managed to get a few decent ones. We had some professional picture made at Portrait Innovations, but they are not on the computer I'm on now, so I'll have to post them later. He didn't start out being very cooperative with those pictures either because all he wanted to do was go play at the table of blocks that was in the lobby area, but he eventually came around and we got some really great shots. Tristan is talking even more lately, and is doing really well stringing together sentences. He is such a silly thing and likes to play tricks on you. He will lure you out of your chair just so he can run past you and take your seat. And he likes to hide from us, especially in Justin's closet or under the comforter. Last night I found him squished in the hall closet. He will say "Don't get me" or "Don't find me" and then run away and hide. I read today that you burn 218 calories an hour playing with a toddler, so that's my excuse for not going to the gym!
Tristan is still doing great sleeping in his toddler bed, so hopefully the transition to a twin size bed in a few months will be just as easy. I've been pushing the potty training a little bit more, but still probably not as much as I should. He will sit on the potty and try to go, but he has peed only once. Usually he tries for a few seconds and then thinks he is all done. Tristan is doing better about eating whole veggies. Today for lunch, he devoured some broccoli (with cheese, of course).
We are definitely looking forward to Christmas and getting to visit with family. We put our Christmas tree up a few weeks ago. We just used the small pre-lit one from last year. Its a good thing too, because Tristan loves to play in it. It is up on an end table and there have been a few times I have walked in the living room and found him standing on the table rearranging the ornaments. One time he took a lot of them off and hid them under the chair beside the table. Hopefully we can make it another few weeks without any broken ornaments! I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!!!
