I can't believe its already February! Tristan has had a great month. When we went back to the doctor for a follow-up on his ears, she said they looked great and the infection was gone. Yay! Tristan has still been doing really well in his new class. There have been a few times that his teacher has heard someone playing during nap time, and yep, it was him. It actually worked out for me though because it was on days when I had to work that night, and so we both napped after school! he has finally started eating big boy veggies, too. He especially likes green beans, which is weird because he never liked baby food green beans. We had to get his hair cut again already, it grows so fast!
Tristan's vocabulary seems to grow more and more everyday. He is up to about 50 words now, and a few phrases ("I love you" and "where are you"). And his repertoire of animal sounds is expanding as well. He knows cow, pig, puppy, duck, fish, and dinosaur sounds (we are working on horse and cat). Tristan has gotten to be a very affectionate little boy. He will go back and forth between me and Justin giving us lots of kisses. He always blows us kisses when one of us is leaving too. Last night he came and sat in my lap and kept giving me kisses and hugs-it was the sweetest thing ever!!!!
We didn't get any snow to play in yesterday, so we went to Kangarooz instead. It took a few minutes (and a snack) for him to warm up to the place, but he absolutely loved it! There was a small kid area with houses, toys, a slide, and a jumpy house. He played really well with the other kids, and boy, was I worn out when we got home! I can't wait to go back!!!
I watched a friend of mine's two-and-a-half month old little girl for a little while tonight. At first Tristan wasn't too sure about me picking her up, but he was so sweet with her. He laid down on the blanket beside her, and even tried to feed her his dinner. Maybe one day he will have a little someone to help take care of ;). However, Tristan is very exciting to announce the upcoming arrival of his cousin, who is due on August first!!!
