Tristan is 15 months!

Hi everyone! We had a wonderful (albeit busy) Christmas this year and hope that you did as well! Tristan didn't really understand the whole gift unwrapping part, but he loved playing with his presents and throwing his tennis ball into everyone else's trash piles. We had a great time visiting with family and eating some yummy food! I don't have a whole lot of pictures from Christmas because we were too busy with Tristan to take them, but I will post the ones that we have. When I get the pics that were taken by our more camera-ready families, I will post them too. Gotta love digital pics!
Tristan went to the doctor for his 15 month checkup this past Monday. He weighed 23 pounds and 6 ounces. He sure feels a lot heavier than that! His appointment went well except that he had an ear infection. He never seemed to act like his ear was bothering him though. She gave him some antibiotics and we go back in two weeks to have his ears checked out again. It is only his second ear infection so I think that's not too bad for 15 months. He had had a virus the week before but it has cleared up, and he hasn't had to have an albuterol breathing treatment since before Christmas. Yay!!! I hated having to give him those! Tristan now has 6 teeth and it looks like there are a few more that will probably be popping through before long. His vocabulary is growing everyday, but his favorite thing to say still seems to be "uh oh." He can tell you what a cow and a pig say, and he even will do a little bit of sign language. Lately he has become a dancing maniac-it is the cutest thing ever!!! He will even hum his own music! He has also become quite the little climber, which is not always good (see pic below). When school started back after the Christmas break, Tristan moved up into the big kid (1 and 2 years old) class. I was a little nervous because the teacher he had was so sweet and he seemed to do really well with her, but I new it was time for him to move out of the baby class. So far he seems to have adapted pretty well. He sits at the table to eat his lunch and naps on his nap mat on the floor. I was afraid that he was going to get up and run around the class during nap time, but they say that he lays there and goes right to sleep. I'm hoping that being around kids that are a little older than him will encourage him to eat more big boy foods, I'm tired of baby food veggies!

the best present ever!
