Its hard to believe how fast time flies, but my little baby is now five months (and one week, by the time I got around to posting this) old!!! Tristan is quite the little ham. He is such a happy baby and loves to smile and laugh. He talks all the time and blows lots of bubbles. Luckily he is over his three weeks of having a cold and is back to his old self. He is a rollover master now and has started scooting some too. He usually scoots in circles, which is quite funny. Several times I have put him down on his mat to play and have come back to find he has rolled/scooted off of his mat, off of the rug, and onto the hard floor. He usually gets pretty mad at this point. I'm sure the hard floor doesn't feel too good on his arms and legs. Tristan has also gotten pretty good at sitting up. He can balance by himself for a while, but is still wobbly at times. He absolutely loves his jumpy seat-especially now that he has figured out how to bounce in it. And he can bounce like a mad man!!! We have been going to the little playground across the street where they have a baby swing. He usually smiles the entire time, until he starts chewing on the safety bar. That, of course, means its time to get out! And speaking of chewing, there still aren't any teeth but he is definitely working on them. He is still drooling like crazy and gnawing on everything in sight. About a week ago, I gave him his first bowl of rice cereal, and he did pretty good. It got a little messy when he tried to "help" with the spoon, but that's what bibs are for right?! Now he has a bowl just about everyday for his afternoon snack. And last, but definitely not least, Tristan is sleeping in his own room! He actually seems to do better in there. I think he likes all the space he has in his crib to roll around. There have actually been a few nights where he didn't even wake up to eat in the middle of the night-of course I was working those nights!
As for Justin and me, we have been doing really well-just enjoying every moment with our ever-growing little man!!!
