Tristan James Teet: Tristan is 8 months!

Another wonderful month has flown by, and Tristan is doing all sorts of new things. He has mastered crawling and is super fast if he sees something he wants. He uses his left knee and right foot-it is too cute! He likes to pull up on everything and walk back and forth. He still falls and bumps his head sometimes, but no more black eyes! Sometimes I want to put a helmet on him. It has been soooo hot outside, so we haven't been going for many walks or to the swing much, but we have gone to the pool a few times. He seems to love it. He splashes around and squeals and smiles at all the other kids. He doesn't like to sit still for me to put sun screen on him, but he gets it anyway. Tristan had a pretty bad fever last week. We took him to the doctor and she said it was a viral throat infection. He is all better now, but it kind of threw him off his schedule and he has been waking up in the middle of the night again. Hopefully he will be back to sleeping all night soon! When he wakes up in the morning he is usually in a good mood and standing in his crib waiting for one of us to walk through the door so he can greet us with a smile-and a dirty diaper. The other morning I went to get him and he had thrown both of his pacifiers onto the floor. Tristan now has both of his front bottom teeth, so watch out if he gets a hold of your finger! He is eating all kinds of baby food and is pretty good at eating "big boy" food too. He loves fresh bananas and peaches and doesn't seem to mind the texture. He had scrambled egg yolk for the first time the other day. He made a funny face, but he sure gobbled it down. He likes pancakes too (without the syrup of course!). He is such a funny little guy and cracks Justin and me up everyday! He loves to laugh and be silly. He is doing a lot of babbling and making all kinds of new sounds. Justin swears he said "mama" the other day, but unfortunately I was not there to hear it. Hopefully he will say it again soon for me. It just melts my heart when I come home from work or walk into the room and his face lights up and he just starts squealing and crawling as fast as he can to get to me!!!

I had a great Mother's Day. Justin got me some flowers and cards from him and Tristan, and made pancakes and bacon. He also cleaned my car inside and out-it definitely needed it! Now I just need to come up with something for Father's Day....
