Tristan is 6 months!

Another wonderful month has passed by and our little man is now half a year old! We went to the doctor last week for his checkup and he weighed 16 lbs and 12 oz. He had to get some more shots, which he didn't enjoy but quickly forgot about. The doctor said he looked great and was doing everything he should for six months old. He is getting better about sitting up and only topples over occasionally. He still scoots around all over the place and is just starting to try and get up on all fours. He likes to pull up on the furniture-or at least try. I found him standing in his bed the other day, which was a little scary. I guess it will be time to lower the mattress soon! He is still blowing bubbles and babbling all the time. And to Justin's delight, Tristan has gotten pretty good at saying dada. I'm still trying to work on mama, but we are not there yet. Tristan's personality is really starting to come out. He is such a happy baby and loves to laugh and smile. He thinks the oddest things are funny. But he knows how to pitch a fit too! He likes looking at himself in the mirror and playing peek-a-boo. He still doesn't have any teeth but he sure chews on everything. And he loves to eat! He gets cereal and baby food once a day. He had a small reaction to the sweet potatoes, but has otherwise done great with the veggies and will be starting pears tomorrow. He is also starting to drink from a sippy cup. He is getting better at it, but mostly likes to make squeaking noises by rubbing his gums on it.

Tristan and the Easter Bunny

We took Tristan to have his Easter pictures made with bunny rabbits and he absolutely loved it! Poor bunnies-he would grab on to their ears and squeal, and of course, try to put them in his mouth. It was the cutest thing!
