We have had another wonderful month with a wonderful little boy! Tristan is just the cutest and sweetest thing ever. He is very loving and polite. If someone sneezes, he says "Bless you," and if you cough, he says "Cough you." He made that one up on his own, and he's been having to say it a lot to me lately, unfortunately. He loves to color, and then stuff his crayons in the couch. He is very smart, too. He can now count to ten in Spanish (thanks to Dora and Diego), and he can count backwards from five (in English). He knows several shapes, and he is getting much better at singing the alphabet. He can say "War Eagle" and "Roll Tide," but I'm sure he has no idea why we are telling him to say it.
Tristan has gotten quite picky about what he wears lately. He gets to pick out his shirt, and he insists on being the one to take the shirt off of the hanger and hang the hanger back up. Otherwise, he's not wearing that shirt. Lately his favorite shirt is his big brother shirt. He has no idea what it says, he just likes the monkey on it. Luckily, he hasn't gotten too picky about his shorts yet, but I'm sure that's coming too. So if you ever see us and wonder what we were thinking when we dressed him that morning, just know he picked it out himself. Tristan's most hilarious new trick is pretending to throw up in the toilet. He will cough and spit, then flush it and close the lid. He is so proud of himself, too. He sees me do it all the time, so I guess he thinks that is what's supposed to happen. Tristan also had his third ear infection this month. I took him to the doctor because he kept getting green drainage in his eyes, and he ended up having a sinus infection and double ear infection. He never once complained about his ears, but he sure didn't like the antibiotic she put him on. I had to bribe him with candy to get him to take it.
We went to Justin's Grandparent's house on Fish River for Labor Day, and had a great time. Tristan enjoyed swimming in the river and pretending to drive the wave runner. He also enjoyed throwing the fishing pole in the water, but luckily one of the girls got it out. We haven't been going outside too much lately because of the heat, but we have gone to the park a few times. Hopefully it will start to cool off soon, and we can go outside all the time. We discovered another park in Spanish Fort that is much bigger than the ones that we usually go to, and Tristan loves it. That is where we are going to have his birthday party. I am excited about his party, but my baby is growing up way too fast!
